Brian Koesters, DVM
Dr. Koesters is co-owner of Animal Hospital of Syracuse, Cedar Creek Veterinary Clinic and Aboite Animal Hospital. He earned his DVM from Purdue University in 2002. He has worked in Fort Wayne since that time. He and his wife, Jodi, have three girls: Raelyn, Maylee, Layna, and twin boys, Reid and Rube. They also have a black Labrador retriever named Charlotte.
Jamie Stover, DVM
Dr, Stover received her bachelor degree from Taylor University in 1999 and DVM degree from Purdue University in 2006. In her final year of veterinary school, she was awarded the G. Edward Cummins Compassionate Care Award by her peers and professors.
She partnered with Dr. Chastain and Dr. Koesters in ownership of Animal Hospital of Syracuse, Cedar Creek Veterinary Clinic, and Aboite Animal Hospital. She enjoys preventative and internal medicine and has a special interest in holistic medicine. She and her husband, Chris, have two children, Grayson and Charley Jo and a Bernese Mountain dog named Lani.
Dr. Chastain is a co-owner at the Animal Hospital of Syracuse, Cedar Creek Veterinary Clinic and Aboite Animal Hospital. He graduated from DePauw University in 1988 and received his D.V.M from Purdue University in 1992. He previously was a veterinarian in Ft. Wayne at St. Joe Center Veterinary Hospital from 1992 to 2012. He has a special interest in veterinary dentistry/oral surgery and enjoys general medicine and surgery. Dr. Chastain's wife, Tonya, is an elementary school teacher in Northwest Allen Community Schools. They have 3 children, Chandler, Caitlyn, and Caroline, a Shih-tzu named Ollie and a cat named Pedro.
William Chastain, DVM
Dr. Braun received her bachelor's degree from Clemson University in Clemson, SC in 1999 and her D.V.M degree from the University of Georgia in 2003. She moved to Fort Wayne after graduation, where she practiced full time at a clinic for 9 years. She then started teaching part-time at the Vet Tech Institute at International Business College in Fort Wayne, and acted as their program veterinarian for 2 1/2 years. Dr. Braun has provided relief veterinary services for the past 5 years, including some time at Cedar Creek Veterinary Clinic and the Animal Hospital of Syracuse. She and her husband, Brad, have two children, Emily and Michael.
Angela Braun, DVM
Registered Veterinary Nurses:
Charlotte graduated in 2016 with an associate degree from the Veterinary Technology Institute at International Business College. She passed her boards in April and loves making a difference for our furry friends.
She has two ornery, yet adorable cats, Penny and Chester, and a sweet spirited golden doodle named Jesse.
Michelle has an Associates degree in Biology from IPFW and
an Associates degree in Veterinary Technology from Purdue
University. She worked at the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo for
several years before entering into general veterinary practice
& has been in general practice for almost 17 years. She has a
strong interest in animal dentistry, nutrition and client
education. She dedicates herself to aiding animals and being
their advocate. Michelle, along with her husband Andy, have
4 cats - Monkey, Wally, Lenny & Penny and a Bearded
Adrianne was born and raised in Fort Wayne, IN. She completed the Veterinary Technician program at International Business College in August of 2016 and passed her national exam in December of 2016. She enjoys spending time with friends, family and her chihuahua, Belle.
Before finding her calling to veterinary medicine, Kandyce spent 10 years in the U.S. Army. Afterwards, Kandyce obtained her Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology in 2015 from McLennan Community College in Waco, TX. After graduation she worked at a large and small animal clinic, gaining experience with household pets, farm animals and wildlife. In 2017 she moved to Indiana, and joined the Cedar Creek family in 2019. She is happily married to her husband Chris, and they have 5 wonderful children: William, Kaitlynn, Andrew, Elaine and Emily. In her spare time she enjoys attending her children's activities, including football, color guard competitions and dance recitals.
Melissa graduated from Purdue University with an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology. She pursued additional training in canine behavior after graduation, and has over 13 years experience teaching puppy training classes. More recently, she has been teaching an Expectant Moms class at Parkview Hospital. She has over 20 years experience working as a Registered Veterinary Nurse at several local veterinary hospitals, as well as teaching at the Vet Tech Institute at International Business college. Her and her husband Chris have two daughters, Reagan and Kaelyn, along with 2 dogs and a cat. In her spare time she enjoys reading, relaxing at the lake, and volunteering at her daughter's school.
Rachel started interning at Cedar Creek her junior year of high school. She was hired on her senior year and has since graduated from Leo High School. Rachel will be beginning her journey of becoming a veterinary technician through Purdue in the fall. Along with having a loving family, she also has a playful cat, Missy, running around her house.
Veterinary Nurse/Client Relations Specialist:
Betsy received her Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology of Colorado in 2006. She has enjoyed working in general veterinary practice by aiding her patients in having a voice, as well as giving them a low stress experience. Along with her husband Greg, she has 3 boys who constantly keep them moving. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, photography, refinishing furniture and spending time with her family.
Client Relations Specialists:
Christie started off her career in Veterinary Medicine as a receptionist at St. Joe Vet. in 2000. Christie worked her way up from receptionist to Hospital Administrator during her 14 years there. She has always had a love for animals and a passion for excellence and client service. She and her husband, Eric, have three children, Kaitlynn, Madelynn and Zachary. She also has two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Chloe and Graycie.
Beth joined Cedar Creek Veterinary Clinic in November 2019. She returned to her veterinary family after spending a few years in Southern Indiana and Minnesota. She graduated from Purdue University in 2001 with a degree in Animal Production. Her interest in the veterinary field started shortly after school and has resulted in over 14 years of experience. She loves all animals but holds a special place in her heart for exotics. In her spare time she enjoys being around family and friends, cooking and baking, playing sports, and decorating her home.
