Cedar Creek Veterinary Clinic Team
Dr. Koesters is co-owner of Animal Hospital of Syracuse, Cedar Creek Veterinary Clinic and Aboite Animal Hospital.  He earned his DVM from Purdue University in 2002.  He has worked in Fort Wayne since that time.  He and his wife, Jodi, have three girls: Raelyn, Maylee, Layna, and twin boys, Reid and Rube. They also have a black Labrador retriever named Charlotte.

Dr. Stover is co-owner of Animal Hospital of Syracuse, Cedar Creek Veterinary Clinic, and Aboite Animal Hospital. She received her bachelors degree from Taylor University in 1999 and DVM degree from Purdue University in 2006.  In her final year of veterinary school, she was awarded the G. Edward Cummins Compassionate Care Award by her peers and professors.

She partnered with Dr. Chastain and Dr. Koesters in ownership of Animal Hospital of Syracuse, Cedar Creek Veterinary Clinic, and Aboite Animal Hospital. She enjoys preventative and internal medicine and has a special interest in holistic medicine.  She and her husband Chris have two children, Grayson and Charley Jo and a Bernese Mountain Dog named Eevee. 

Jamie Stover, DVM

Dr. Chastain is a co-owner at the Animal Hospital of Syracuse, Cedar Creek Veterinary Clinic and Aboite Animal Hospital. He graduated from DePauw University in 1988 and received his D.V.M from Purdue University in 1992. He previously was a veterinarian in Ft. Wayne at St. Joe Center Veterinary Hospital from 1992 to 2012.  He has a special interest in veterinary dentistry/oral surgery and enjoys general medicine and surgery. Dr. Chastain's wife, Tonya, is an elementary school teacher in Northwest Allen Community Schools. They have 3 children, Chandler, Caitlyn, and Caroline, and a cat named Pedro.

Dr. Braun received her bachelor's degree from Clemson University in Clemson, SC in 1999 and her D.V.M degree from the University of Georgia in 2003.  She moved to Fort Wayne after graduation, where she practiced full time at a clinic for 9 years.  She then started teaching part-time at the Vet Tech Institute at International Business College in Fort Wayne, and acted as their program veterinarian for 2 1/2 years.  Dr. Braun provided relief veterinary services for Cedar Creek Veterinary Clinic and the Animal Hospital of Syracuse and is now working at Cedar Creek full time.  She and her husband, Brad, have three children, Emily, Michael and Elizabeth, as well as 2 cats.

Dr. Fidler received her bachelor’s degree from Ohio University and then went on to receive her D.V.M. from Mississippi State in 2015. She enjoys preventative medicine and soft tissue surgery and has a special interest in dermatology. She moved to Fort Wayne after graduation and met her husband Aaron. They have a wonderful daughter, Millie, a dachshund, Benning, and two ornery cats, Frank and Ava. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and trying new foods and recipes.

Dr. Grybow received her bachelor’s and master’s degree from Indiana
University and then went on to receive her Doctorate of Veterinary
Medicine from Purdue University in 2023. She has a special interest in
integrative medicine and enjoys both general medicine and surgery.
She moved to Fort Wayne after graduation with her husband Kris.
They have two active dogs, Cato and Chance, and a cat named
Charlie. During her free time she loves baking, hiking with her
husband and dogs, and traveling to Disney World whenever possible.

Theresa Schenkel, DVM

Dr. Theresa Schenkel is a native of Fort Wayne. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Saint Francis and later received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2004 from Purdue University. She is an active member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners, the AVMA, IVMA and past president of the Northeast Indiana Veterinary Medical Association. Since graduation, she has remained in Fort Wayne and practiced small animal medicine. She has developed a special interest in both veterinary dentistry and feline medicine and has completed many hours of continual education in both of these areas. She and her husband, Brent, have two children: Jonny and Gracie. Their household also consists of three cats: Prince Ali, Brucie and Frank, as well as a German Shepherd named Sage. In her downtime, she enjoys watching her son play hockey and her daughter dance. She also enjoys reading, running and spending time at the lake.

Charlotte graduated in 2016 with an associate degree from the Veterinary Technology Institute at International Business College.  She has been a part of the Cedar Creek team since graduating and has developed a passion for client education and feline husbandry. She also has a strong interest in holistic medicine both within and beyond the veterinary field. Charlotte enjoys her role as wife, mother and homemaker, and spends her free time sewing, embroidering and enjoying the outdoors with her husband, Max, and their two daughters, Margot and Rosie.

Michelle has an associate degree in Biology from IPFW and

an associate degree in Veterinary Technology from Purdue

University. She worked at the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo for

several years before entering into general veterinary practice

& has been in general practice for almost 17 years. She has a

strong interest in animal dentistry, nutrition and client

education. She dedicates herself to aiding animals and being

their advocate. Michelle, along with her husband Andy, have a Golden retriever named Luna, and 4 cats - Hobbes, Wally, Lenny & Penny.

Michelle

Adrianne began her time at Cedar Creek in June of 2017. Born and raised in Fort Wayne, she attended International Business College where she obtained her associate degree in Veterinary Technology in 2016. She enjoys helping people by helping their beloved pets. She also greatly enjoys her role of inventory manager at Cedar Creek. She currently has an Irish Setter named Roo, a setter mix named Wrangler and a Western Hermann’s tortoise named Ellenor. She would also love to own another Chihuahua one day – her favorite breed. Outside of work she enjoys investing in her family and friendships, doing home projects and traveling to explore new places.

Before finding her calling to veterinary medicine, Kandyce spent 10 years in the U.S. Army. Afterwards, Kandyce obtained her associate degree in Veterinary Technology in 2015 from McLennan Community College in Waco, TX. After graduation she worked at a large and small animal clinic, gaining experience with household pets, farm animals and wildlife. In 2017 she moved to Indiana, and joined the Cedar Creek family in 2019. She is happily married to her husband Chris, and they have 5 wonderful children: William, Kaitlynn, Andrew, Elaine and Emily. In her spare time she enjoys attending her children's activities, including football, color guard competitions and dance recitals.

Melissa graduated in 1997 from Purdue University with an associate degree in Veterinary Technology. She pursued additional training in canine behavior after graduation, and has been teaching puppy training classes and private lessons since 2001. Melissa has been working as a Registered Veterinary Technician at several local veterinary hospitals, as well as teaching at the Vet Tech Institute at International Business College. She and her husband Chris have two daughters, Reagan and Kaelyn, along with 2 dogs and a cat. In her spare time she enjoys reading, relaxing at the lake, and volunteering at her daughters' school.

Betsy received her associate degree in Veterinary Technology from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology of Colorado in 2006. She has enjoyed working in general veterinary practice by aiding her patients in having a voice, as well as giving them a low stress experience. Along with her husband Greg, she has 3 boys who constantly keep them moving and a dog named Zucca. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, photography and spending time with her family.

Jamie graduated from Purdue University in 2001 with an associate degree in Veterinary Technology. She has worked in several clinics throughout her career, and became a part of the Cedar Creek family in 2021. Jamie has a strong interest in small animal surgery and dentistry. When not working she enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, kayaking and hiking with her husband Matt and two children. Jamie also shares her home with three dogs, Leonard, Bindi and Brock Lee, Donatello the cat and a bearded dragon, Steve.

Katie first worked at Cedar Creek during her practicum from the Veterinary Technology program at Purdue University. After graduation she joined the team full time. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and looks forward to expanding her knowledge and growing as a technician. In her spare time, Katie enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family and traveling. Her best fur buddy is Otis the Bichon.

Tiffany graduated for Manchester College in 2010 with a degree in biology and environmental studies. After college, Tiffany worked at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo for 12 years. She was a zookeeper that worked with a variety of birds, hoofstock, and primates. She was even a tiger keeper for 5 years. Tiffany and her husband, Chad, have a rottweiler named Swarley.

Justin

Justin started his animal care career volunteering at Soarin' Hawk Raptor Rehabilitation Center in the winter of 2021. He branched out to small animal companion medicine when he started at Cedar Creek in May 2023. Justin is an avid reader enjoying fantasy and sci-fi novels. In addition to reading, in his spare time he also likes creating 3D models and working on his car. He and his family have a 13 year old Jack Russell terrier named Zeus.

Alyssa started with Cedar Creek as a high school intern during her senior year at Leo High School in 2022. After graduation she was hired as a veterinary assistant. She plans to attend Purdue Fort Wayne majoring in biology with a focus on pre-veterinary medicine. Her family has an adorable corgi named Bella. When Alyssa is not at work she enjoys hanging out with her friends and family and playing tennis.

Stacy graduated from the University of Southern Indiana in 2008 with a degree in biology. After college, she worked at the Metro Richmond Zoo in Virginia until 2011 and the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo until the fall of 2023. During her zoo career, she cared for over 120 different species of animals and is now excited to explore the world of domestic pets. Stacy is mom to her daughter, Annabelle and their cat, Claude.

Skyelar has worked for our sister hospital Aboite Animal Hospital for the last 3 years, and joined the team at Cedar Creek spring of 2024. She grew up always wanting to be around animals and had pets ranging from dogs and cats, to lizards and hamsters. That love for animals brought her to veterinary medicine, working as a receptionist since 2018 and more recently training as a veterinary assistant. She has loved every minute of it. In her spare time, she enjoys snuggling her chubby Chihuahua named Peanut.

Karly

Karly works at our sister hospital Animal Hospital of Syracuse and is here at Cedar Creek on Mondays. She started working as a veterinary assistant in May of 2008. Karly and her husband Tim have two kids Anna and Christian, two dogs named Elli and Benni, and four cats named Finn, Karen, Isabelle, and Fuzzbert. She most enjoys working in surgery and never knowing what will walk through the door, gaining more experience each day. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family at the off road park and drag racing.

In August of 2023, Brea started at Cedar Creek for her senior year internship from Leo high school. After graduation she joined the team part time until she heads to West Lafayette this fall. Brea was accepted in to the Purdue Veterinary Technology program and is looking forward to starting her professional journey. While not at work she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, reading and cuddling her Golden Retriever Murphy and her two cats Niko and PJ.

Sam

After working at our sister hospital Aboite for the last two summers, Sam started at Cedar Creek in May 2024. She recently earned her bachelor degree in biology from Ball State and is in the process of applying to multiple veterinary schools. In her free time, Sam enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, reading and going on walks with her sister. At home she has 5 cats and a dog named Sidney.

Beth joined Cedar Creek Veterinary Clinic in November 2019. She returned to her veterinary family after spending a few years in Southern Indiana and Minnesota. She graduated from Purdue University in 2001 with a degree in Animal Production. Her interest in the veterinary field started shortly after school and has resulted in over 14 years of experience. She loves all animals but holds a special place in her heart for exotics. In her spare time she enjoys being around family and friends, cooking and baking, playing sports, and decorating her home.

Molly joined our team in January 2021. This is her first job at a a veterinary clinic and she is loving it. She has always had a love for animals, specifically dogs, and she enjoys helping clients and their pets. In her spare time Molly enjoys spending time with her family, exercising and reading. Molly and her husband Jadon have an adorable dachshund named Bernard.
